I am not working on this much less planing to work on this , this is just a fun idea i had and wanted to share this not a PR this is just fun ideas
Shadowling Rework
Motivation
The shadowling gamemode was very flawed both mechanic wise and lore wise as they were only scary shadow people and althought they were in a broken state they were one antags that i had most found intereting and i would love seeing them back on game as actual fun antag for both side
goals
• to re-add shadowling to the game
• To actually have a fun sling round where is not just snowball to either side
• To make a interesting lore for shadow persons maybe expand the whole bluespace and redspace myths

Paranoia, fear, dread,anger all this emotions are very common on endless numbers of NT station as crew were in constant worried of sydicated,vampire,changelings,and various creatures [...] normaly this feeling only exist inside a person mind but here ..... here on this place where the line between pure Horror and own reality is thin, those feeling started take form to grow to feast soon this ... shadows take form with only desire to be a embodiement of fear.. to be a True TerrorShadowling beliefs and personality types
the shadowling believe they are a superior to all others creatures in our reality, it is common to see a sling thinking that all crew are nothing more than insects for them to feast on, however the only beings that sling trully respect and fear are they gods: The Devil , The Puppeter , and the Restless One. the shadowling would throw any life including they own if was to please one themnobody knows if these gods trully exist, but sheer devotion and worship that sling has is enought to make these belifes dangerous
Shadowling reputation with NT crew
Due to disbelieve of the existence of red space, slings are consider by many nothing more than myth, a legend created by enemies to cause fear and panicNightmares the imperfected ones
Not all slings manage to fully grown to adulthood , these unlucky named the imperfect ones by they kin grew into violent creatures that stalk in darkness for prey, they considerd by most even by they own kin simple verminsBefore the round
The sling has only recently gain his physical form as brain tumour inside someone, they are weak they need to feast they would slowly expand while feasting on organs of their host but never the skin as it the only protection they have against lightStart of the round

overview
at start of round 2 to 4 sling Spawn diguised as crew they do not know who is sling and they cant communicated with each other they are not team base antag they are as much figting the crew as each other, they get around 15 minutes before they diguises breaks they have the goal of simple acending into a true nightmare for that they must complente 8 totems that need mats and spefic crew once one sling finish they 8 totem they can acend forcing all other living slings to become they servent nightmares and shuttle is automatic called
stages
Stage Zero Carcass
The sling still resites on his old host bodie it protects them from light however it is deacaying and falling apart
abilities
• night vison
• toggletable themal vision
• Sense reality – open a tab with sling possibles totems and which crewmates they need to for creating them
First Stage Whisper
the shadowling buster from old skin they bodie is still incompletd they are at most vulnenable from physical damaged ---due they incompled bodie the sling cant wear gloves shoes or amour they also pass anyone regaless of intent they can have up to two thalls following themabilities that comes with this stage
• fake face – the ling can make themself look like they old host or anyone they have can see, this abillity gives a bit of light resitance and does not make a loud noise when you get damged
• extinguish soul –a spell is created on cling active hand if click someone they next that person is knockdown, any lights they have are turn off, and they are silent for 9 serconds, to fully stun the sling need wait on cooldown of 4 serconds recasted the spell and hit the person again the sercond time the victin is silent for 14
• shun light—this ability flick any near by lights before turning the room lights off they can repair by light switch or engineer messing with apc ( for helping sling not appeard too obvious i think there should be that lights flicks before turning off at randoms times without any sling )
• Thalling – the sling inject part of itself on nearby crewmate this process taking a while but once done the thall will die for its new master
• darkness tongue-- permits the sling to communicated and order his thralls
Sercond Stage Haunt
The sling is gaining more strengh on this reality now thanks to a more completed bodies slings can wear amour and gloves however they no long able to hide they true nature when sling use Fake Face if they dont have anything covering they faces when examine the line “she\his eyes seem to be a endless void “ will pop up when examine
Third Stage True terror
the sling has achive the peak of his life light has no more effect on them all hope is lost abandon the station before you are turn into mindless thrall or bunch of pieces there are 3 types of terrors depending on what path they followed but all gain this abilitiesabilities
• True revealations--- massive AoE spell that instanly thrall any non mindshiled on area if someone mindshiled get hit with the spell they are stunned instead
• Devastation--- a short cooldown ranged attack that can gib anyone that was hit by is force
Shadowling specializations
Shadowling can follow on 3 paths like vampire the path will determined thes ling powers and some passives buffs they select by doing one 3 stating totems
Shadowling totems
“these grotest piles of metal glass and organs is what gives sling more powers, the totems in it self is junk but the fear that victim feel while the totem was made is what the sling feast on"
The totems are how a sling gets Strong and how they complete they goal, There are 6 generals totems 3 starting ones and 3 ends ones from each paths the victim of those totems will die and sometimes loses a organ and takes a moment to be completed at start of the round sling will have only have one crewmates as tagert to chose between these 3 totems
Starting Totems
Rites of anger –Will unlock the devil path for sling, it requires a table where target has to be put on and 5 metal the targets will lose his heart. Totem description: a crude contraption of scrap metal that holds a loft a heart
Rites of paranoia – will unlock the puppter path for sling, it requires a chair where the target will be buckle in and 10 wires the target will lose his hands. Totem description: two tied servered hands hang in air ever so moving
Rites of dread— will unlock the restless one path for the sling, it wil require a pipe that target is buckle in and a bucket with at least 10 units of water the targets will lose they eyes. Totem description: a small vines are growing out from the bucket two eyes are wrap around the base of plant
General Totems
General totems will require a diferente crew for each one it is necessary completed them to unlock more powers and get closer to the end goalBroken reflection--- it requires a meat spike that target need to hanging from and 6 shards of broken glass the victim must be able to scream. Totem description:
Toxic breaths--- it requires a chair where targerts need to be buckle in and requires 10 sheet of solid plasma the targert will lost his lungs (can not target plasmaman )
Blood caver –it require that the targert should be strap on chair it will require any sharp object the sling will required 100 units of blood that can be draw from breakers buckets or any living creatures that blood can be removed from
Butcher skin-- it will require a meat spike that victim need to hanging in it and 50 metal rods and two spears the victim must be able to scream
Laughting evil—it will requires a well chair that victim has to be strap in it and 25 dianmonds and 14 banana peels or a clown mask and clown boots
Silent screams –it will require that targerts mouth to be shut with duct tape and 2 stun rods and 20 titanium or mime mask and White gloves
Terror Totems
This last totem a sling need to made to achive the goal and become a terror
Devils blood Skull rite--- it will require the tagert to be on wooden chair it will require 40 metal, a kitchen knife, 10 glass and a heart from another living being
Toys wires rites--- it will required the victim to be on table it will require 30 wires, a garrote, and two arms from another living being this totem taking much longer to completed
Tears of the tormento one rite--- it will required the victim to be buckle into a pipe it will required a bucket with 60 units of acid two pairs of eyes from any other living creatures and hatchet
Thralls abilities
Differend than cult or vamps slings thrall get abilities that show are very clear thrall and most sling have limited of many thrall they can have on stage one sling can have 2 thrall and on stage 2 sling can have four thralls
• Silence—the trall someone for 10 serconds however is very obvious when this ability is used as thrall will scream before silencing someone
• Fear shacckles—the thrall can create a shacckle on someone taking 10 serconds to put it on making the victim slown and only able to whisper
• Senseless violence—the thrall gets a 50% bost to brute damaged but cant use weapons and will scream at ramdom when this abilities is on
• darkness tongue--the thrall can communicated with they master sling like a cult the trall will whispers incations before whipering what he said
Subclassing and tree abillities

Mending shadows—this abilitie lets sling greatly heal thrall and even fixing up to 3 ibs
Shadow commune—thralls gets new abilities
One with darkness—thrall can be less visible on darkness and if remain still they be fully invisible
Paralyse—thrall can knockdown and dealing 60 stam but this ability as long cooldown and very obvious
Fear blade—thrall can summon a blade that he cant drop even after being knockdown that deals 25 brute damged and cause stamina damaged
Endless reach—the sling can teleport one its thrall to itself but doing so will stun the sling and makes loud sounds
Parasite—the sling can get part of itself into someone they near to and temporary take control of the victim however the real bodie of sling wont be able to move and can be eassily get killed
Puppets binds—(only available when sling reach true terror status and replace parasites)the sling can teleport into someone else and taking control of them however wehn sling exits the victims is gibbed
devils slings
Unstotable rage—the sling has all damaged resitance of 50% but speed is halfed
Abyss claws—the sling grows massives claws that do 40 brute damaged and can rip limbs off however if sling keep this ability activated it will cause stamina damaged
Faithless fear—the sling can use this ability on anyone they can see causing the tagert to slow down and get near sightness for 25 serconds
Unholy spire—the sling can summon the darkness around them to create a temporary barrier that block bullets and crew but sling and thrall can pass eassily
Devil power—(only avalible when sling reach true terror stage)the sling gain indonidable strenght and speed making them able to destroy any walls and can cause 75 bute damaged to a crew in one hit
relentless slings
Shadow step—the sling can teleport to a neraby dark room long cooldown
Shadow spear—the sling can create a spear that does 30 damaged wehn throw gives 90 damaged and gives ib to the targertthe spear shatters afte hiting something
Dash–the sling can teleport on straight line passing any walls or space it can jump 6 to 8 squares
Relentless—the sling gains 3 combo attacks
Break wrist—disarm disarm aiming the hands—cause the victim to drop anything they holding and unable to pick anything for 10 seconds
Bloddy assault –harm harm harm aim chest—the sling slashes the victim chest open causing bleeding and stamina damaged
Neck breaker—harm grab harm aim head—the sling snaps tehe victim neck causing oxy loss and gasping as well 45 brute damged
Reality jump--(only availeble when sling reach true terror status )gives the shadowling the abillity to slip our reality gaining the jaut the original sling had it
Trival and questions
Will this be add ? – probably not but at least someone can scarvenge one of my ideas
Will you work on cooding –no due the fact that i had no experince with cooding this more like a idea dump
Will sling come back—i hope yes the mode was broken and unbalanced but i hope they would gave a chace and actully try fix the mode rather than just slapping a muderboner mid round antag as replacement in other words be better than tg sever did
If this mode was add how long would take to code—probably way more than vampires rework that took what months to be fully inplemented so i doubt this will ever be on game but i can hope that at least some of my ideas get use in some way
