This crops up when calling JAX-RS resources after calling one of the post- or media-updating AtomPub resources, and so it's likely that the trouble cropped up with that conversion. It's not consistent... it's possible to call a normal GET resource fine, but then it becomes "infected" after calling a (failing) update resource.

This may be a fleeting or rare problem: trying to reproduce it now, I can't.
