Currently, to install core updates, the user has to:

  1. Click See details on the Core update available notification in the Software Center. This action navigates to Software Center > Updates.
  2. Click Review and update, which navigates to Software Center > Core Apps.
  3. Click Update Core.

The step involving the Review and update click can be skipped if clicking See details directly navigates the user to Software Center > Core Apps.

QA

  • Install or utilize a cluster that hasn't been updated to the latest version; version 3.3.1 will suffice.
  • Navigate to the Software Center.
  • A notification indicating Core update available will appear at the top of the page.
  • Click the See details button within the notification.
  • Verify that you have arrived at the Core Apps page.
  • Click Update core button and wait
  • Check that core update completes as expected.
