Describe the bug

API calls for NSRDB and URDB do not work on Linux.

To Reproduce

  1. Create a default Detailed PV / Commercial case (or any other solar configuration).

  2. On the Location and Resource page, type a location name and click Download button. Note "Geocoding failed" error.

  1. On Electricity Rates page, click Search for rates and note "Could not process returned JSON data" error. In SAM 2024.12.12 rc, SAM crashes at this point.

Improved message from SAM 2024.12.12:

Note that REopt API calls are working in SAM 2024.12.12 for Linux.

Expected behavior

All API calls from SAM UI should work in Linux.

Operating System and Version

  • SAM 2023.12.17 r2, SAM 2024.12.12 rc

  • Linux Mint 2.1.1 Cinnamon 5.6.8 installed on Dell Latitude Intel© Core™ i5-8265U CPU @ 1.60GHz × 4 (not a virtual machine)
