Write more tests

We kind of stopped writing tests while hacking together this app.

Describe the solution you'd like
We'd first like to test the main app functionality.
However if you decide to help out and want to go all the way, perhaps adding SonarCloud to the pipeline to report on issues and coverage would be awesome.

I'm not an open-source veteran myself, I mainly have some public repos. But, very limited experience contributing tbh.
However, if you're new I'm not sure helping out some side project from one random dude will reach you the most.
