## Windows/Mac
- Go to https://cran.r-project.org/ and select "Download R for Windows/Mac" and follow the instructions regarding your installation.
- For installation, please make sure to install your R into a directory without blank spaces. (i.e. D:/R) This is important for further package installations.
- After installing R, download and install Rstudio Desktop from https://www.rstudio.com/products/RStudio/ if you are familiar with networking principles you can also use Rstudio server however for first time users desktop is recommended.
## Ubuntu
Install R using following commands:
- sudo echo "deb http://cran.rstudio.com/bin/linux/ubuntu xenial/" | sudo tee -a /etc/apt/sources.list
- gpg --keyserver keyserver.ubuntu.com --recv-key E084DAB9
- gpg -a --export E084DAB9 | sudo apt-key add --
- sudo apt-get update
- sudo apt-get install r-base r-base-dev
- sudo apt-get install gdebi-core
- wget https://download1.rstudio.org/desktop/bionic/amd64/rstudio-1.2.5001-amd64.deb
- sudo gdebi -n rstudio-1.0.153-amd64.deb
- rm rstudio-*.deb
