If you have an AL proxy behind a maya object, and you click on the maya object, then it will end up select-highlighting the AL shape behind it (as well as the maya shape), even though what ends up "actually" selected (in maya) is just the maya shape

I'm seeing something similar, but slightly different, in 2019 with ufe: both objects end up highlighted AND selected. (ie, in 2018, only the cube is selected in the outliner, while in 2019, both the cube and the ufe-usd object are selected in the outliner)
