It feels weird to me addressing chatgpt with "ask", I would like to use it more like addressing someone in the room sort of speak. Could I change the "ask" command for "chatgpt" or a custom name?

Thanks for your feedback, I will consider it in the future. However a temporary solution for you is to set an alias, or change the function ask() in zsh-ask.zsh into function chatgpt() or whatever you feel comfortable. Feel free to modify and redistribute as the code is under MIT license.
