We need a realistic atmospheric model and common mode subtraction for many systematics. We need a realistic model that we can use with some level of 1/f noise and correlation across focal plane. We need it to have both temporal and spatial variations. Also need to have some random noise after common noise subtraction. It may be that we can model this in TOAST with a given focal plane and import a per pixel TOD. (Let's discuss this)

Very good point - but unfortunately very hard to do within s4cmb without sacrificing its efficiency (atmosphere simulations are very costly!). I opened a project, but we might need the help of TOAST here indeed. Happy to discuss this!
