No Delay from Screen sleep to Screen locked

When the screen goes to sleep it also locks the screen at the same time without a delay, nor can the user set a delay. This requires the user to have to log back in every time the screen goes dark.

Why not give the user the option to set a certain amount of time (delay) after the screen goes to sleep before it is lock?
