Since this modal window appears in 3rd-party sites during remote checkout, we're playing in dangerous territories.

Objectives -

Support websites that might be having very old jQuery versions (< 1.4.2). Let this plugin demand a specific version of jQuery to work in noConflict mode.
Support IE8 as it's one of the ways to pay someone via remote checkout. (Graceful degradation)
Support extending the modal to have certain smooth animations when opening up/ closing down. (Progressive enhancement)
