One thing that I find very useful is to be able to search photo based on location. I usually know pictures are taken not when.

Describe the solution you'd like
A simple map view to sort image by the region of the map visible on the screen would be great. See google photo or apple photo map/location feature

Describe alternatives you've considered
I have considered using the iOS photo app but that doesn't include all photo saved only local ones. I have also considered using Immich with a NAS but it's added cost and infrastructure

Hello,

Sadly this won't be implemented in kDrive as the main purpose of the app is file management.

We hope one day to develop a "kPhoto" app to handle this kind of use case and to improve the photo backup experience.

That's fair thanks for the answer.

I was wondering if being able to access an immich backend directly from kdrive could solve this issue. Although it is under the AGPL so I am not sure if it is feasible. Can always do it on a NAS sync with kDrive :)
