Description

Just like this ticket requires a detailed description so should this repo. It says "Work of the IIIF Audio/Visual working group". What does that mean? I truly have no idea what this is or what it is suppose to relate to.

Someone who knows the purpose of this repo change the description to reflect the description so new people like me can quickly have an idea if this is a repo I should invest more time on.

Thanks but this is Github and should probably use the provided standardized mechanisms. This is an opportunity to improve discoverability. I work closely on another large scale open source project and this was like pulling teeth at first. But when done correctly it helped open the community and made it more approachable to new people. After working on a project for a while we start to think it's common sense to locate the information somewhere else but what we've learned is people see this lack of effort as a sign the repo/project is stale and is at end-of-life.

I think @DonRichards is just talking about the description line that appears at the top of the https://github.com/IIIF/iiif-av page. This should remain short but I can see a case for expanding acronyms and a bit more context. I suggest change:

Work of the IIIF Audio/Visual working group

to

Work of the International Image Interoperability Framework (IIIF) Audio/Visual working group, including user stories as github issues

I'll make that change now but we can change again if there are better suggestions.
