When selecting the single cell workbench from a specific dataset, the first item that we see at the top is "select a dataset". I feel that the fact that the field is empty is very confusing. It feels like the user is invited to select the dataset again. The name of the dataset that the analysis was requested from should appear in the field (this was the case in gEAR v1). In v2, the name of the dataset is seen only at the very bottom of the page.

I get what you're saying and can make that happen. Do note that once the analysis is selected, then a banner showing the dataset and completed will be stuck to the top of the page.
