This is to avoid users having to install the Desktop Client in order to use ascli

TODO: deliver ascp SDK from more official location.

@laurent-martin It looks like there are 6 architectures supported now at the official downloads location https://developer.ibm.com/apis/catalog/aspera--aspera-transfer-sdk/downloads/downloads.json

Are they now one to one with the 6 supported when downloading from https://eudemo.asperademo.com/aspera/faspex/sdk.zip?

Yes, correct,
The official SDK on IBM site is for: (one zip per architecture)
Linux x86_64
Linux Power
Linux s390
AIX Power
macOS x86_64
Windows x86_64
But it has an older version of ascp. (4.2.0)

The SDK downloaded b ascli is: https://ibm.biz/aspera_transfer_sdk

it has the same architectures, but with ascp 4.4.2, in a single zip

The actual download may be moved to github, and macOS armv8 may be added soon.

The integrated download started failing for me today. After running the command ascli conf ascp install I'm seeing Failed to open TCP connection to eudemo.asperademo.com:443.

Possibly just intermittent but just in case it's not I thought I would bring it to your attention.

Thanks for the notification, effectively, the server hosting it failed, I have moved to github.
(I removed aix and s390 architectures to make it < 100MB, but those are less used)
same url: https://ibm.biz/aspera_transfer_sdk
ascli should work again now
