I'm not sure why this is, since the most recent version of RegisterFit doesn't have a Compat section in the package itself, but it does have one in the lab registry.

Great observation. It is possible we ran https://github.com/JuliaRegistries/RetroCap.jl on HolyLabRegistry to add Compat even for packages that hadn't had it before.

You can definitely relieve the conflict by adding a [compat] section and registering a new version.
