This came up in the Bitcoin Design Discord. Should relays or clients verify signatures and ditch bad ones? The spec does not seem to be clear.
Risk with accepting any signature is of course that spammers could abuse this to attach content to other profiles. I have not looked into this closely, but could a spammer make a product show up in someone else's stall? Or fake reposts and likes to promote spam content on someone else's profile? Not sure, thus this issue.
