I could not figure how to find points that are exactly on the faces. For example u26 u37 u48 ... in the image below. The result gives only points on the corners of the face.
Can you provide an example on finding points that are on the face.

This is the difference between maximal and minimal convex hull. Yes, in this implementation we create the minimal (in most cases). For 2D you can check the points with the sides of the resulting polygon. in the future, we may consider allowing minimal or maximal as a input option.
