Maybe a short introduction in which you list what is necessary to understand the text would be good; it starts right off with differential equations and such, for example, and so it might be good to warn the reader of what math is used. Now that's just me because I don't know differential equations =)

Good suggestion. We'll add an extra section discussing the intended audience and necessary background.
This issue brings up an interesting point that using a differential equation to illustrate the linear algebra ideas might cut out certain potential readers. I might need to come up with a simpler example problem.
