Background
The origins of the BOS program were to give some basic digital skills to people who could not advance and complete basic tasks on ITD. We want to bring that back. Deadline: ideally before the end of Q1.
Some of the Goals
People who don't complete any steps in ITD for lack of essential skills have a program they can go to learn basic digital skills before trying again
After completing BOS program, people can apply for jobs online, and benefits, use translation features, accessibility feature and open and manage online services like bank accounts
BOS and ITD programs can be marketed together to NGOs as two ways to gain digital skills for similar populations
Ensure the BOS, despite being smartphone-centric to start with, offers wide digital skills transferable to other devices
Acceptance criteria
Reviewing the current BOS curriculum
Ensure current learning milestones are valuable to people for people who don't complete any steps in ITD
Identifying how it could improved based on those milestones
Ensure that the model is flipped classroom
Suggest a BOS part II that offers other skills that bridge the gap for people who want to make significant progress in ITD
This has lower importance than any Program project you are working on, but we'd love to get your insights and proposals before you leave us,
We want to make sure this program fits more closely to the rest of the work.
