Beginner Help: Full project example Gerber to Image

Hi, first of all thank you for this project. It really helps me to achieve my use case.

Is there exist a full example project that "fully" convert a zip Gerber file into top & bottom render? Or showcase how most of the useful API is used. At the moment I'm still to figure out some basic stuff like changing appearance, making the through-hole area transparent, etc. Maybe I'm the case of better learning by example 😊

Hi @Argmaster thank you for the documentation. I have followed it and able to render the board. For the final composite I'm using Pillow directly with steps that derived from the render_raster function to get more controls.

One thing still missing, I haven't found anything related to parsing drill file. Does pygerber support that? I see drl file with svg in assets folder but don't know which parser did that

Unfortunately right now there is no support for drill files implemented. In the future I want to implement support for XNC format, subset of excellon, defined by Ucamco, but there is still a lot of work to get stable release for PyGerber and I dont have processing capacity to do that.
