There is no information on the UI about the fact that some "validated" trees are not the latest ones, other than checking all the trees in all the samples.
Suggest a solution
It would be convenient to have, in the page displaying the list of the samples of a Project, an info about the number of "Validated" trees that are now outdated by another tree of an user, and to be offered the option to switch to validate all no-"validate" trees more recent than the validated one.
A further possibility could be to have a warning when staging a commit stating something such as "You have validated trees outdated by user's trees".
