Feature description
Polygon PoS node doesn't support querying finalized blocks, instead Integrators should use L1 state root checkpoints as a measure of finality. When a state root checkpoint containing a given transaction is finalized on the L1, the Polygon transaction may be considered final. State root checkpoints occur roughly every 30 minutes.
reference: https://blog.trailofbits.com/2023/08/23/the-engineers-guide-to-blockchain-finality/

Polygon mainnet finalized blocks can be by queried by listen to NewHeaderBlock events from this contract:
https://etherscan.io/address/0x86E4Dc95c7FBdBf52e33D563BbDB00823894C287#events

Expected output

  • Query polygon finalized blocks from ethereum checkpoints
  • Write unit tests
