I recently equipped myself with an A800S and from all the research I've done so far,
I cannot use it for parking surveillance without the hardware kit.
I'm okay with buying and installing it, but its cutoff voltage is 11,4 V and I've seen people
complain they fail to start their cars after leaving them parked for a week or so.
I found some info regarding the A800 (without the 'S') that it was able to record parking
videos with an earlier FW (got disabled later by 70mai...) and people who used that old FW
were happy to make use of the cam's 500 mah battery and not worry about their car batteries.
I did went though all of the 8 issues in your repo and got some initial plans how to check if
using the camera internal battery for parking surveillance is possible on the A800S,
but wanted to ask if you have done any research on this topic as well?

Internal battery can hold about a minute to cover emergency power off, stop recording and shut off the camera only. Its not capable for any longer tasks like Timelapse recording.
My previous dashcam was a Prestigio 585 and I've been very happy with it for the past 4 years.
It was recording a 30 seconds parking video in case of bumps (based on its g-sensor) like when opening/closing the doors
(caught couple of parking bumps as well). And it did that only by its small 250 mah battery...
Its battery depleted now and wasn't able to keep on for longer than 10 seconds and I wanted something with better resolution than FHD so switched to the A800S...
Anyway, I'm confident that the 500 mah battery is able to do the same (turning timelapse off and leaving only g-sensor on) without me having to use the hardwire kit and draw my car's battery which is already being used by a lot of electronics...
At worst, I guess I'll use another external battery for it. Found some solutions on blackboxmycar com, but will for sure have a look at the firmware when I find some time.
First of all, thanks for sharing those features.
