[FreeDNS]
Features

  • Free tier: Free DNS, DDNS (Dynamic DNS), Static DNS

  • Pros: Control your DNS records from anywhere, in realtime, WAN and LAN.
Use a name to link to your computer or service, (ie. zeus.afraid.org or yourdomain.com).
Use it to point to any page on the internet, home, work, school, datacenter, cloud, resume, linkedin, etc...
Free and paid subdomain hosting, domain hosting, backup dns, reverse ipv6, and dns hosting.
    Free web forwarding.
Automated free IP updates, which actually works on many routers, and they include instructions for some common ones.
This is a really great service. I've been using them for years.
30,268 domains to choose from for your usage - (yourip.[pick this.com]).
CNAME, A, AAAA, MX, NS, TXT, LOC, RP, HINFO, SRV, CAA records.
IPv6 forward and reverse (.int and .arpa).
URL cloaking (hide the real url of your site in the address bar.
Change hosting provider without DNS propagation delays.

  • Limitations: 20 subdomains on each of your domains that you point at this service.
    Can't use nameserver branding.
You must share some subdomains with other users, you can specify which ones to not share.
    1 Hour TTL.
    No wildcard support.
    Some ads.

  • Specific limitations important to know (exceeding the free tier is not a limitation!), like an instance sleeping for 30 minutes every day.

  • Exceeding the free tier: You cannot exceed the free tier without paying first. Blocked by the site from creating too many subdomains.
